Terms & Conditions
The application for a reservation by the party leader/Client either directly or through an agent, shall imply acceptance of these conditions on his/her behalf and on behalf of all other members of the party. This will be a warranty by the party leader/Client that he/she has the authority of the other persons of the party to make a booking and to agree to these conditions on behalf of the other party members.
The Client will indemnify B.J. & J.A. Holgate "The Owners" against all losses and/or damage to the property and furnishings contained therein arising directly from any act or default of The Client or anyone within his/her party.
Alterations to bookings may be subject to administrative fees.
No moneys will be refunded in the event of cancellation by the Client or any members of the party. We would, therefore, recommend you take out insurance to cover cancellation should this become necessary.
The Owners reserve the right to cancel the booking or alter the accommodation arrangements in the event of circumstances arising which are beyond their control. In such cases, the client may be entitled to a refund not exceeding the amount paid by the client, and The Owners shall have no further liability.
The Rental Period shall commence at 5 p.m. on the first day and end at 10 a.m. on the last day. The Owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and The Client shall not be entitled to stay after the time stated.
The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a final clean is included in the rental, The Owners reserves the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the Property in an unacceptable condition.
The Client shall report to The Owners without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment, such as plant, machinery or appliances in the Property, garden or swimming pool and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made by the Owner as soon as possible.
The Owners shall not be liable to The Client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property, garden or swimming pool.
The use of accommodation and amenities such as the swimming pool etc, is entirely at the The Client’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury to a user or visitor and loss or damage to the user’s or visitor’s belongings.
No responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage to any motor vehicle or its contents.
We regret we are unable to accept animals.
No camping is permitted on the Property grounds.
The accommodation is non-smoking.
Persons other than those named on the Booking Form will not be permitted to use the accommodation or any facilities.
In compliance with the new French safety legislation we have installed a pool alarm to help prevent accidents. However, please note, under French Law parents have sole responsibility for their children and are legally responsible for their safety at all times as well as by a swimming pool.
