Golfers will be very pleased with the choice of courses in the Aquitaine region and, especially, Lot et Garonne.

There are quite a few good courses within an hour or so's drive of St. Colomb de Lauzun. Brian is a member of the Golf de Castelnaud club, which is very good. Another very well known (international) course in the area is Château des Vigiers with its own hotel, restaurant and vineyard. Both courses are good to play with Château des Vigiers being flat compared to Castelnaud. Further afield there are more excellent courses; notably the championship courses of Golf du Medoc which hosts the Challenge Tour Championship.

You will find the green fees somewhat cheaper than in the UK and for much of the time - especially in the

off-peak seasons - much less crowded.
