There are loads of activities to try or you can gently bake by the pool......

 

 

The weather here is very temperate - similar to the Mediterranean - click on the sun

At Merle you can you can spread out and relax whilst the children can run and play in the grounds.

 

However, the region offers many diversions for visitors, for example:

You can visit sites that date back to virtually the dawn of time at the Lascaux Caves in the cliffs that flank the river Dordogne. You can take riverboats from La Roque-Gageac and admire the beauty of the river; go to Norbert

More recent, i.e. 12th century, castles and fortresses that figures in the 100 Years War. Richard the Lionheart stayed at Beynac between 1189-1199

There are many sports and other activities; canoeing, cycling, walking, tennis in Lauzun village,  golfing etc.
